Today’s card, Temperance, picks up where the Energy Path for the week left off four days ago.

On Monday, the Knight of Swords, the Queen of Wands, and the major arcana Magician reminded us of the courage to continue, the courage to connect to earthy, nurturing ordinary-ness and the audacity to find magic in the ordinary.

Temperance reminds us of that same balance. Not every day has to be striving or spiritual. We can live our spirituality in a comfortable, natural way. Not everything has to be bland, pedantic or mundane. There is balance. There is magic in the ordinary, and ordinary in the magic.

The paranormal is really just normal seen with our heart at the same time as we see with our eyes.

It’s a balance.

The Temperance card today is a nice validation for me – or at least I’m taking it that way. It’s been a year of changes around here since switching to the Sage Words Tarot name in January and it has taken a seven month long hot minute to find a new balance around here. This is my general plan for August. If it works, then this becomes the plan for the foreseeable future.

EMAIL TAROT

Email readings are available to order 24/7 – no appointment needed. How long it takes for your full write up to arrive varies depending on when you place your order, USA eastern time. Weekday orders usually get to you within 12 hours. Nights, weekends, and US holidays take longer. I’ll send a confirmation message with an estimated delivery time when you place your order. Getting an email reading with me works like ordering anything else online. Pick the layout you want – I’ve got lots of choices. There is something there for any question or budget from a $5 one card “Sage’s Sip” up to a full 7 card “TaoCraft Extended” layout for $40. Then you check out just like buying anything else online. I only take PayPal, but PayPal is secure for both of us and takes most credit cards. You’ll get a chance to enter your question or the topic for your Tarot reading as part of the checkout process.

PHONE / ONLINE / IN-PERSON TAROT READINGS

These only offer the 7 card layout.

I don’t do brick and mortar. By working mainly online, I can keep my prices lower for everyone. When we work in-person, we’ll meet in a local quiet public place. I have some routine spots where I’ve been going for years and never been bothered. If you live in the South Hills suburbs of Pittsburgh PA and are interested in this kind of reading, just contact me for full detail or to schedule.

Same for phone or live online readings. Contact me to schedule. I’ll send you an invoice and confirmation email. A valid email is required, again I use PayPal for secure payment processing.

FREE TAROT

I don’t do free or discount private readings for non-members because of the years and years and metric craptons of FREE Tarot content that is already on the free website blog and social media.

If you want to actually talk to me, Threads and Instagram comments is the place to do that. DMs are a members-only ko-fi thing. You can find my Tarot content and blog links on Facebook, TikTok and Tumblr, but I don’t interact with those. As far as the free content goes, this is the general plan – subject to random unannounced changes of course.

8 July 23: announcements and reminders

Remember that thing from the movie “if you build it they will come” ?

Well, it’s built.

I hope y’all will come read the blog, browse the archives, and ask questions.

On that last….

I’ve been hit with a few annoying ‘bots it seems, but I don’t want to shut out everybody, so I’m splitting the difference and requiring log in to comment. If you don’t want to do that, you can use the comment form on the “ask me anything” page instead.

I’ve also yoinked the like buttons. I appreciate the feedback, but honestly word of mouth about my readings and social media shares are more helpful than the ego boost of a ‘like.’ I’m hoping that will head some spammy shenanigans off at the pass too.

I have a healthy list of banned words, and will delete first and ask questions later if anything looks even a teeny tiny bit spam-ish … so if you aren’t getting a response with the AMA form or comments, feel free to contact me by email. That’s the fastest way to schedule and in-person or online reading.

Email Tarot doesn’t require an appointment, but everything else does. My schedule has changed a LOT compared to pre-covid, so live readings schedule around a week in advance now.

It isn’t captcha, but you humans should be able to navigate those few things.

Just a reminder, too, that the posts here are open to you under an attribution, non-commercial, non-derivative creative commons 4.0 international license. That means you can share it all you want BUT you have to credit me with writing it AND you can’t sell it or make money off of it. Fair enough, right?

Middle of the week update-update

Another quick tour of Sage Words Tarot

Hi everyone!

First and foremost, as always, thank you so much for reading Sage Sips blog on Sage Words Tarot.

As I sit here sipping a real world cup of tea and as my coffee cold brews for morning I want to say hello, say thanks, and give you all a quick tour around the website now that I’m taking a break from changing and tinkering. Things will stay like this for the rest of summer at the very least.

Email Tarot readings are OPEN all summer! You can order a private Tarot reading by email anytime, 24/7, no appointment needed. It’s still just me doing this, and I live in the US eastern time zone, so it may take a hot minute to get your reading to you if you order nights, weekends or US holidays. Most of the time I get a reading to you inside of 24 hours, but it can take longer some days. I’ll be in touch whenever you order and give you my best estimate about when I can get the write up to you.

Ask Me Anything is OPEN. Just like the name of the page says (tab at the top on laptop, scroll down on mobile). You ask. I’ll answer in one form or another, maybe a Tarot reading, probably in the blog. You have my promise that no identifying information will ever be used in a blog post. If a post is inspired by and actual question, I change and redact it so that it could be a question from anybody that can help everyone.

The “reading room” tab has two pages, “frens and fam” is a list of links to people I know and trust around the web. Some of it is Tarot related, other not, but they are all good folks, real people in the real world that I trust. The reading list is just exactly that – my favorite reads over the past 30 or so years.

In-person Tarot readings and online readings are available with appointment and prepayment with the secure PayPal invoice that I’ll send to you along with the appointment confirmation.

Meatspace Sabbatical June ’22

If things go the way I think they will I will be doing some work to ‘red up’ the website and Ko-fi shop and get some new stuff ready for fall- not to mention clean up some of the fallout from all the squirrel rave adaptations and rolling with it that’s happened over the past several months.

Going with the flow has its chaotic aspects. Sometimes even Zen be like that.
